The Ridgefield Playhouse and Bart's Tree Service Comedy Series bring A Night of Comedy Gold with Judy Gold and Friends to the stage on Friday, November 4 at 8 p.m. and is hosted by Connecticut Funny Lady Christine O'Leary!

Judy is well known as the star of her two critically acclaimed long-running Off Broadway hit shows. Her most recent show, The Judy Show - My Life as A Sitcom ran to sold-out audiences. Judy was nominated for the 2012 Outer Critics Circle Award for The Judy Show, as well as a 2006 Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance for her previous show, 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother. In addition, the show won the 2007 GLAAD award for "Outstanding New York Theater." The New York Times called her one-woman show "fiercely funny, honest and moving."

This hilarious night showcases two additional comics. Liz Barrett's one-liners come fast and furious and she is often called a female Steven Wright and a thinking man's Roseanne. Time Out NY recently said that Liz has a "signature brand of dark, batty stand-up" and that "Barrett is quickly on the rise. Catch her before she goes supernova..." Karen Bergreen is a nationally recognized stand-up comic, making appearances in both seasons of The Jim Gaffigan Show. She has appeared on The View, Comedy Central and has been invited twice to perform at HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen Colorado and The Great American Comedy Festival. Karen has written two comic novels, Following Polly and Perfect is Overrated, which have earned praise from The New York Times, Oprah Magazine, and her mother-in-law. Karen is a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post and More Magazine. She is an original cast member of Tru TV's Worlds Dumbest. Judy is a frequent contributor for CNN, & MSNBC. Judy has also toured with The Moth. Judy can be seen doing stand-up regularly at NYC's top Comedy Clubs including The Comedy Cellar, Caroline's on Broadway and Eastville Comedy Clubs, and recently had a sold-out run at Feinstein's 54 Below.

Judy has had stand-up specials on HBO (Cable Ace Award), Comedy Central and LOGO and was twice nominated for The American Comedy Award for Funniest Female Comedian. Judy has appeared in numerous documentaries including, The Aristocrats, The Last Laugh, When Jews Were Funny. Judy's popular weekly podcastKill Me Now?,? is on CBS' play.it network.
