The popular song and dance extravaganza is back! The 2014 production by stop/time dance theater, I'd Rather Be Dancing!, marks the return of the annual crowd pleaser that features the resident dance company at Playhouse on Park. Conceived, directed and choreographed by Artistic Director Darlene Zoller, I'd Rather Be Dancing! is a guaranteed night of entertainment full of dancing, singing and live music.

Performers this year include: Mike Barker and Shannon DelGiudice of Manchester; Melissa Shannon and Courtney Woods of Ellington; Connie Gobeille, Beckie Correale, and Laurie Misenti of South Windsor; Alicia Voukides of Bloomfield; Sheri Righi of Wethersfield; Amelia Flater and Becky La Bombard of Simsbury; Rick Fountain, Ali Forman, Spencer Pond, Lisa Caffyn, Gail Schoppert, and Sean Pallatroni of West Hartford; Lynsey Chartier of Brooklyn; Jennifer Bunger and Erica O'Keefe of Southington.

Darlene Zoller (Director/Choreographer), is the co-founder and co-artistic director of Playhouse on Park where she has directed and choreographed Chicago (Best Director of a Musical/Broadway World), Swinging On A Star and That Holiday Feeling among others. She is the founder, director and choreographer of stop/time dance theater, the resident dance company of Playhouse on Park, now in its eleventh year. She IS Mama D of Mama D's Outrageous Romp, a grown ups only music, dance and comedy event-exclusive to the Playhouse. Darlene is an adjunct professor at the University of Hartford's Hartt School and a teacher for the Hartt Community Division. She is on the faculty at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts, Musical Theatre Division and she teaches fitness at Big Sky in Vernon.
