Criss Angel will attempt one of the most astounding and dangerous escapes in history at Foxwoods Resort Casino on November 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Inspired by the legendary Harry Houdini, Angel will attempt the Houdini Death Escape, while suspended upside down in a regulation straight jacket and dangling from a 75-foot-high crane. Upping the ante, Angel will also have a 50 lb. weight hanging from one end of a rope with the other end around his neck in a noose.

For more than a decade, Angel has dominated the world of magic and stunned audiences worldwide with his life-threatening, jaw-dropping, and seemingly impossible magic, illusions and escapes. An avid admirer of Harry Houdini, Angel parallels the legendary magician's grand demonstrations, such as this signature escape, and catapults them into the 21st century...to the extreme.

Angel is the first to attempt this escape with a 50 lb. weight hanging from a noose around his neck and must escape before he goes unconscious. He has been training with five time UFC champ and MMA Hall of Famer Randy Couture to prepare for this stunt and will be incorporating a new deadly MMA twist to Houdini's legendary escape.

Angel's first attempt of this stunt was last year in Times Square NYC with over ten thousand spectators. Although he is the only person ever to be successful in the escape, he paid a huge price when he ripped his right bicep off the bone and tore his right shoulder in two places. Following seven screws and anchors and seven months of physical therapy, Criss is ready to attempt this stunt again.

"We are ecstatic that the biggest name in magic, Criss Angel, will attempt one of the most elaborate and mind-blowing stunts in history right here at Foxwoods," said Felix Rappaport, Senior Vice President & COO of Foxwoods Resort Casino. "To coincide with Veteran's Day, Criss has decided to dedicate this stunt to all veterans, past and present, and we are truly honored to take part in supporting our troops."

As part of the performance, Angel has invited local veterans to help prepare for the stunt by helping him put on his straightjacket. Veterans will also be provided with complimentary tickets to his new production 'MINDFREAK LIVE!' taking place at Foxwoods for a special three-day series of shows from November 13 - November 15. Tickets are $65 - $125, and may be purchased at www.foxwoods.com or by calling the Foxwoods' Box Office at 800-200-2882, Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000, or in-person by visiting the Box Office.
