Take a break from cooking and cleaning for your Thanksgiving guests, pack up some Hot Toddies, and come to Playhouse on Park for laughs galore! Season Eight Comedy Night Series continues on Wednesday, November 23 at 8pm! The event will feature two co-headliners, Darren Rivera and Johnny Rizzo.

Darren Rivera aka "The Rice and Bean Joker" has been entertaining audiences for more than decade whether it's been colleges and universities or Comedy Clubs all over the United States. He has won WCCC Last Local Comic standing, runner-up in Funniest Comic in New England. His brand of humor is sarcastic, witty, and real to his life experiences. He has opened up for Jo Koy, Aisha Tyler, and Gilbert Godfrey just to name a few. He's originally from the Bronx, spent his adolescents in Bucks County, PA, and started his comedy career in Hartford, CT. Darren takes these life experiences and puts them on stage to entertain the masses.

Where do you begin the task of trying to describe Johnny Rizzo? The elastic faces, the flopping limbs, the silly, googly eyes...he's got you in stitches and he hasn't even opened his mouth yet! Part old school (think Red Skelton, Jerry Lewis, Danny Kaye) intertwined with his own unique observations on everyday life, Johnny Rizzo has been cracking up audiences around the country for over 30 years. Born in raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Johnny cut his comedy teeth in some of the most hallowed clubs in New York City, including Catch a Rising Star, Caroline's, Dangerfield's and The Comic Strip. Johnny has headlined across the country at The Bitter End in NYC, the Borgota Casino in Atlantic City, the Riviera and Sun Coast casinos in Las Vegas and at all the major Comedy Clubs, including Madison Square Garden. He also received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Achievement - Performance Artist, for the acclaimed CPTV comedy special, Hot Summer Nights.

Tickets are $15, all seats reserved. This event is BYOB! Remaining dates for the 2016-17 season are: February 4, March 18, April 15, and June 3. Shows begin at 8pm.
