Following the smash return engagement of the National Theatre of Scotland's The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart in the spring, and this summer's Festival 21--marked by record breaking attendance at its free concerts on the New Haven Green, thought-provoking Ideas panel discussions and interactive tours, and more World and American Premieres in theatre, dance, and music than ever before--the INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF ARTS & IDEAS now extends its unique brand of smart fun into the fall with La Ronde ("The Round") created by the French choreographic duo Projet In Situ. Performances begin October 8 and will continue through October 16 at the New Haven Armory (290 Goffe Street), in conjunction with Artspace's annual City Wide Open Studios.
"The Festival is so overloaded with good things during the summer. We think it makes sense to spread our unique brand of arts, ideas, and community throughout the year to serve those who may not be in town in June," says Mary Lou Aleskie. "Experiences that open us to new ways of seeing the world are more important than ever, and that's exactly what La Ronde and the Festival's related events deliver. We are excited to be sharing this with our colleagues at Artspace as an enhancement to their already dynamic City Wide Open Studios at the Armory."Complete performance schedule includes:
