Tantrum Theater will present The Central Ohio premiere of Tammy Faye's Final Audition by 2016 Tantrum playwright in residence Merri Biechler. Opening in the Abbey Theater, Dublin Ohio July 8th at 8pm, all press are invited to the preview night performance July 7th at 8pm.

Tammy Faye Bakker was the sweetheart of Christian television in the 1980s until fraud and sex scandals brought her world crashing down. In this fevered dream at the end of her life, Tammy Faye enlists the men she loved to help her get back on TV and tape one last media extravaganza. Merri Biechler's new play wipes clean the mascara and tears to make known the naked truth, and ask: to whom, and for what, do we so desperately devote ourselves?

In this 75 minute tour de force, Shelley Delaney in the title role of Tammy Faye, and Jonathan Hadley as the various men in her life, including Jim Bakker and Jim J. Bullock, examine the life and love of this larger than life human being who found the humanity in everyone she touched.

Join Tammy Faye for one last audition, delight in being part of her studio audience and bear witness to the empathy and love that made Tammy Faye a legend and hero to so many.

Tickets are available for Tammy Faye's Final Audition on the website (tantrumtheater.org). All seats are general admission. Shows will be performed in the Abbey Theater at the Dublin Community Recreation Center, 5600 Post Road in Dublin.
