A Columbus tradition for more than 30 years, the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and his search for the true spirit of Christmas comes to Columbus' Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) on Thanksgiving weekend. Performances of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol are Friday, November 26, at 7:30 pm; Saturday, November 27, at 2 pm and 7:30 pm; and Sunday, November 28, at 2 pm and 7:30 pm.

Tickets are $32, $27, and $22 at the Ohio Theatre Ticket Office (39 E. State St.), any Ticketmaster outlet, or online at www.ticketmaster.com. To charge by phone, please call (614) 469-0939 or (800) 745-3000. The Ohio Theatre Ticket Office will open two hours prior to each performance. Students between the ages of 13-19 may purchase $5 High Five tickets while available. This Family Series presentation is made possible through the generous support of Bob Evans and series sponsor AEP.

The Nebraska Theatre Caravan production of A Christmas Carol captures every detail of the classic holiday tale, from the spine-chilling ghosts to the gorgeous renditions of traditional British carols. Crotchety Scrooge, lovable Tiny Tim, and all the fascinating characters that audiences have come to love make it a treasured Columbus holiday event.

Performed by a spirited ensemble cast of actors and musicians, A Christmas Carol features almost two dozen traditional Christmas melodies including "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "Good King Wenceslaus," "Away in a Manger," and "Here We Come A-Wassailing." The production artfully recreates both the poverty and luxury of 19th-century London as a backdrop to the fable of Ebenezer Scrooge, a lonely man who is given the rarest of gifts-the chance to change his life and find his heart.

Nebraska Theatre Caravan is the professional touring wing of the Omaha Community Playhouse, a unique partnership of a professional company and the nation's largest community theatre. The Caravan has three touring companies that perform each November and December throughout the Midwest, South, and East Coast, entertaining thousands of families across the country.

About Paul Thomas Kerr (Scrooge)
Kerr has appeared throughout the country in national tours of Pirates of Penzance, Can-Can, Pajama Game, Tintypes, and 1776, and Nebraska Theatre Caravan's A Christmas Carol as Christmas Present. Regional credits include director and actor at Cornwell's Theatre, Derby Dinner Playhouse, Prather's Dutch Apple Theatre, and Artist in Residence at Elon University.
