Beck Center for the Arts presents by popular demand Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's MARY POPPINS, tonight, December 4, 2015 through January 3, 2016 in the Mackey Theater.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. Sundays. Please note early curtain times. A special performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 17. Two performances (2:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.) will be held on Saturdays, December 12, 19, 26, and January 2. There are no performances on Fridays, December 25 and January 1. Last year's entire 5-weekend run quickly sold out. Tickets for the encore production are on sale now.

After breaking all previous Beck Center box office records, this acclaimed production of MARY POPPINS returns for another holiday season. Based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film, MARY POPPINS delighted Broadway audiences for over 2,500 performances and received nominations for nine Olivier Awards and seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Audiences are introduced to the troubled Banks family, where young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before MARY POPPINS arrives on their doorstep. MARY POPPINS takes the children on magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones she has a profound effect upon. "It's so wonderful to revisit this timeless classic, which makes us all nostalgic for childhood, but goes deeper than you might expect." said Director Scott Plate. Using a combination of magic and common sense, even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "anything can happen if you let it."

Under the musical direction of Larry Goodpaster and choreographed by Martín Céspedes, the talented cast features Rebecca Pitcher as MARY POPPINS with Curt Arnold and Katherine DeBoer as Mr. and Mrs. Banks. Rebecca Pitcher, a Northeast Ohio native, is best known for her role as Christine Daaé in Broadway's The Phantom of the Opera. Pitcher and DeBoer appear courtesy of the Actors' Equity Association.

Tickets are $31 for adults, $27 for seniors (65 and older), and $12 for students with a valid I.D. A $3 service fee per ticket will be applied at time of purchase. Preview Night on Thursday, December 3 is $10 with general admission seating. Group discounts are available for parties of four or more. Purchase tickets online at beckcenter.org, or call Customer Service at 216.521.2540 x10. Beck Center for the Arts is located at 17801 Detroit Avenue in Lakewood, just minutes west of downtown Cleveland. Free onsite parking is available.
