Listing Information: Many students have come to me with questions about the business. Most of them are in their first year in New York and need a bit of guidance when it comes to headshots, resumes, agents, casting directors, auditions, and building their audition book. I decided to create a forum where they can ask their questions and get honest, practical answers.

Coaching Format
The coachings will be in a small group format – at least three people, but no more than five. This setup will provide everyone with personal attention and feedback, but having a group of peers allows for discussion. The group setting also makes it more affordable for everyone!

There will be three 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour long sessions spaced over three weeks. The length of each session will depend on how many people are involved in the coaching. Have no fear that every topic will be discussed! Each session will be about specific topics such as:
*Audition book
*Audition tips
*Knowing your type
*Casting Directors
*Marketing yourself
*Setting goals
*Work ethic
*Balancing life and your career
*Getting acquainted with NYC

Each person in the group will get a chance to ask their specific, personal questions and get honest feedback from myself and the rest of the group.
How much does it cost?
The cost of all three sessions is $100. A $50 deposit is required to hold your spot and the rest can be paid at the first session. If you know me, you know that I am committed to keeping everything as affordable as I can to fit the needs of actors.
Is your coaching right for me?
My coaching is designed for musical theatre performers who are relatively new to New York City and the business. I moved to NYC over eight years ago after dropping out of college. I didn’t go to a fancy musical theatre school, so I spent my first few years figuring out how to navigate my life and career in NYC. The first few years can seem daunting, but if you have a plan and a base of knowledge, it helps. I’m committed to helping others get a firm footing as they embark on what will hopefully be a successful career! If you have been in NYC for a decade and need to be re-focused on your career, my coaching probably isn’t what you are looking for. My sessions are truly focused on helping new actors get acclimated to the city.

My coaching is focused on giving you honest, specific answers to questions that actors just beginning in their careers tend to have. What should my resume look like? Is my headshot ok? Do I need a website? How do you get an agent? What type of songs should be in my audition book? How do I get seen as a non-union actor? When do I join the union? Every professional performer will have a different answer to these questions, which can get confusing at times. My hope is to streamline what you have been told and help you find what works best for you and what will make you the most successful.
