There’s no fool like an old fool, especially when it comes to love and money. Don Pasquale was the star of the silent movie era, but in 1950s Hollywood, his name forgotten, he is nothing but a bitter old man. Scheming to add color to his life, Pasquale seeks the hand of the young Norina, but she proves to have a clever plan of her own that may just put the old curmudgeon in his place.

THE OPERA
After an absence of almost twenty years, Don Pasquale returns to the Music Hall stage in a charming new production that updates the action to 1950s Hollywood. “Blessed with a deep basso and perfect comic timing” (Cincinnati Enquirer), bass-baritone Burak Bilgili leads the cast as Don Pasquale. The object of the Pasquale’s amorous attentions, Norina, is sung by soprano Eglise Gutiérrez, who returns to Music Hall with her “beautiful sound” (The New York Times) after making her company debut in La Traviata (2008). Her young lover, Ernesto, will be played by Ji-Min Park, in his U.S. debut.
