The Educational Theatre Association (EdTA) has honored two members with the annual Volunteer of the Year award: Hunter Bell, Tony-nominated writer, New York; and Krista Carson Elhai, International Thespian Society Troupe 2129 Director and theatre teacher, Claremont, California. Composer Jonathan Bailey Holland has been commissioned by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and conductor Louis Langrée to write a world premiere for the re-opening of the Music Hall as part of their Grand Opening festivities, October 6-7, 2017. Holland has composed Stories of Home with the idea that over the decades, the Music Hall has served as a “home” for people from a variety of walks of life. (more...)
