Cincinnati Shakespeare Company begins its 2016-2017 season with the hilarious "All The Great Books (abridged)" by ReEd Martin and Austin Tichenor playing July 22-August 13, 2016.

This production is directed by CSC Producing Artistic Associate, Jeremy Dubin and features Cincinnati Shakespeare Resident Ensemble members Miranda McGee, Justin McCombs and Geoffrey Barnes. This hilarious recap of world literature reunites the entire cast of last year's hit comedy "The Complete History of America (abridged)," which was also directed by Mr. Dubin.

"All The Great Books (abridged)" was originally produced by Reduced Shakespeare Company. It is an uproarious roller-coaster ride through a comically compact compilation of the world's greatest literature! Three actors cover over ninety books in ninety minutes from 1984 through Wuthering Heights. Everyone from the illiterate to the literati will love this refresher of literature's greatest hits including Alice in Wonderland, Das Capital, Don Quixote, Green Eggs and Ham, Little Women, Paradise Lost, Pride and Prejudice, The Tale of Genji, the Tao Te Ching, The Three Musketeers, The Wizard of Oz, and so many more! Audiences who have loved our productions of "The Complete History of America (abridged)" and "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)" are sure to love our next installment in this zany collection.

"All The Great Books (abridged)" runs from July 22 to August 13. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances are at 7:30 and Sunday performances are at 2:00, with an additional 2:00 performance on the final Saturday. Tickets cost $22-$42. Preview performances are scheduled for Wednesday, July 20, and Thursday, July 21, and preview tickets are $25. If available, $14 student rush tickets may be purchased 30 minutes before a show with a valid student ID.

The theater is currently located at 719 Race Street, downtown Cincinnati, two blocks west of the Aronoff Center. Visa, Discover, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted. Ticketing fees may apply. Discounts are available for students, seniors and groups as well as AAA members.
