The College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Preparatory Department is proud to present the world premiere adaptation of "The Last Dragon of Camelot," a musical adapted for young actors. The authors of the musical are Alyn Cardarelli, a graduate of The Second City Training Center and co-founder of Emerald City Theatre, Chicago's largest theatre dedicated to families and Steve Goers, a versatile musician and performer who is a faculty member of the CCM Musical Theatre Department. They have revised the original show specifically for the CCM Prep Department Theatre Arts program by rewriting songs and script appropriate for middle school actors and singers.

An evil dragon, king, knights and one intelligent, strong and courageous woman, are at the center of this Renaissance fantasy. CCM Prep faculty member Dee Anne Bryll is the Director and Rebecca Childs is the Musical Director. Over fifty students ages 8-14 from the CCM Prep Department will be performing.

The productions will be in Patricia Corbett Theatre at CCM Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19 at 7:30. Also Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20 at 2:30. Tickets are $10 and $8 for students. Call the box office at 513-556-4183 to reserve tickets. Please visit the website http://ccmpr.wordpress.com/2011/02/07/ccm-preparatory-department-to-present-new-musical/ for more details.
