Generations of readers have adored children’s novel Anne of Green Gables and now this beloved classic is coming to stage at Provision Theater! Adapted & Directed by Provision’s Artistic Director Timothy Gregory and based on best-selling novel by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery, this world-premiere adaptation is coming to stage at Provision March 14 through Sunday April 19 Saturdays 12 & 3 pm & Sundays 3 pm. The elderly Cuthberts expect to adopt a boy to help them around the farm, but instead receive a very talkative, wide-eyed orphan girl. Though clever young Anne Shirley has a penchant for getting into trouble and makes many mistakes, she eventually works her way into the hearts of her adoptive parents with her indomitable spirit and zest for life. Starring Chicago favorite Mary Margaret Roberts as Anne Shirley, this heartwarming 60-minute performance for young audiences is family-friendly and recommended for ages 8 & up. A must-see for both young and young at heart theater enthusiasts! Tickets: $10 for children 12 & under; $15 for adults. Parking is FREE. Groups of 10 or more receive 10% off of the same ticket type.
