Writers' Theatre continues its season with the Midwest premiere of The Letters by John W. Lowell, directed by Kimberly Senior. The production has been extended for two additional weeks, now through March 17, 2013. The Letters is performed at Books on Vernon, 664 Vernon Ave, Glencoe.

Nothing is quite as it seems in this thriller of politics and disinformation set in 1930s Russia. An informal interview quickly turns into a game of cat and mouse in which the roles of hunter and hunted shift without warning, and being the last to flinch may mean the difference between life and death. Who will claim the upper hand: those who suppress the truth, or those who will risk everything to liberate it?

Director Kimberly Senior's intimate bookstore production, featuring Kate Fry and Mark L. Montgomery, will captivate audiences as the stakes are raised in this taut political thriller.

Writers' is committed to producing not only premieres of new plays, but also giving vital second productions to plays still in process. Writers' has collaborated with John W. Lowell and Kimberly Senior this past year on an intensive workshop process to give Lowell the time and resources to expand, deepen, and refine his work.

The best ticket availability for Writers' hit production of The Letters is for performances after March 3, 2013. In order to accommodate the added dates, Writers' has shifted the dates of Yellow Moon by one week. Yellow Moon will run April 16-August 4, 2013 and the Press Openings will be held April 24 and 25, 2013.
