Raue Center For The Arts is excited to welcome the Voices in Harmony choir for a beautiful holiday tradition at 4 p.m. on December 11, 2016. The choir and the community will join their voices together in harmony for a sing-along performance of Handel's "Messiah."

Handel's great masterwork is presented with a 25-piece orchestra, excellent soloists and projections of beautiful calligraphy by Timothy Botts. Featured soloists include Clarissa Reis (soprano), Sara Litchfield (mezzo-soprano), Peder Reiff (tenor) and Rick Ziebarth (Bass Baritone).

The McHenry County College Chorus will supplement the on-stage choir. "Sing-Along Messiah" started as a joint venture between the Crystal Lake Community Choir (now known as Voices in Harmony, founded by artistic director Steven Szalaj) and McHenry County College. The first performance was given December 13, 1997 in the MCC Conference Center. VIH's "Sing-Along Messiah" has since become a staple of Raue Center's holiday programming and is among the most beautiful and meaningful holiday traditions in McHenry County.

Tickets start at $18 and can be purchased online at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 815.356.9212 or 26 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake. For more information, visit rauecenter.org.
