Running continually since July 2011! A sexually frustrated farmer, Luke Skywalker, is longing to rescue the luscious Princess Leia, prisoner of the sadomasochistic villain, Darth Vader. They'll need some help along the way from a few malfunctioning droids, a rouge she-hunk named Han Solo and a Wookie companion (who never wears pants!) to rescue her heiney-ness. Of course, along to guide them is the senile but sensual Obi-Wan-Kenobi. Join this motley crew of geek girls as they take you on a burlesque parody journey of bad haircuts, oddly sexy aliens, cheap special effects, and disco groves. Don't make us FORCE you to come!
In October 2010 Gorilla Tango Theatre dared to throw their hat into the burlesque ring with the now critically acclaimed BOOBS AND GOOMBAS: A SUPER MARIO BURLESQUE and they haven't looked back since! Seeking to mix burlesque with a more traditionally theatrical approach, the result is a fusion form of parody and burlesque which feature all female casts, allowing some of Chicago's premiere female comedic talent to shine. Gorilla Tango Burlesque is an unstoppable force in story-based, plot-integrated burlesque. Other GTB shows include: "Don't Blink: A Doctor Who Burlesque," "The Empire Brings Sexy Back: A Star Wars Burlesque Sequel," "Temple of Boobs: An Indiana Jones Burlesque," "Holy Bouncing Boobies: A Batman Burlesque" among others! Consult the website (www.gorillatango.com) for more shows, tickets and more information.
