Re-discover both new and classic musical theater numbers as they are turned upside down in Un-Type Cast, a cabaret show performed at Davenport's Piano Bar & Cabaret from October 3-24, 2011. Reservations can be placed at www.davenportspianobar.com.

For a strictly limited run, Un-Type Cast will feature some of your favorite show tunes sung by performers of the "wrong" race, gender or age! Come hear a male Glinda; a female Georges Seurat; a young, black Mama Rose; a gay take on Annie Get Your Gun and many, many more! Equal parts hilarious and poignant, Un-Type Cast will also feature the debut of The Great Color-Blind Ragtime Megamix! As always, the musical numbers will be complemented with behind-the-scenes anecdotes from host and director Christopher Pazdernik. Un-Type Cast is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to hear some of musical theater's greatest songs performed in a completely different way.

Charissa Armon has appeared as Mother in Ragtime (After Dark Award & Equity Jeff Nomination) at Porchlight Music Theatre, Catherine in Tomorrow Morning at the Greenhouse Theater and Tess Walker in The Mistress Cycle at the Auditorium Theatre, among others. She returns to Davenport's after appearing in It's an Art: The Songs of Stephen Schwartz. Charissa is an artistic associate of Porchlight Music Theatre and a proud member of Actor's Equity Association. www.CharissaArmon.com

Lina Kernan takes the Davenport's stage again after performing in The Distance You Have Come: The Songs of Scott Alan. She is best known for appearing alongside E. Faye Butler in Ain't Misbehavin' at the Goodman Theatre. Lina has also appeared as Sarah's Friend in Ragtime as well as Company and Once On This Island with Porchlight Music Theatre.

Ryan Lanning returns to Davenport's after the successful runs of both It's an Art: The Songs of Stephen Schwartz and Nobody's Side: Broadway's Cult Classics. Recently, Ryan has appeared in critically acclaimed productions with Bailiwick Chicago (F**cking Men), Goodman Theatre (Candide) and The Scooty & Jojo Show (Alien Queen). At Bailiwick Repertory, he received a Jeff Award as Molina in Kiss of the Spider Woman. This summer, he understudied and performed the title role in Chicago Shakespeare Theater's The Adventures of Pinocchio. www.RyanLanning.com

Brian-Alwyn Newland makes his debut at Davenport's in Un-Type Cast. Over the past year, he has been seen as Audrey II in LaCosta's Little Shop of Horrors, Gus/Growltiger in Theo Ubique's Jeff-Award winning production of Cats, Jim in Boho's Big River and in Porgy & Bess with Court Theater. www.BrianAlwynNewland.com

Scott Sowinski (Younger Brother in Porchlight's Ragtime), a veteran of New York City Opera, will join the show as a special guest on October 24, in place of Ryan Lanning. www.ScottSowinski.com

Un-Type Cast is hosted & directed by Christopher Pazdernik, with musical direction and arrangements by Aaron Benham, reuniting from their hit shows It's an Art: The Songs of Stephen Schwartz and Nobody's Side: Broadway's Cult Classics. Christopher also conceived and directed The Distance You Have Come: The Songs of Scott Alan at Davenport's, and is an Artistic Associate at both Porchlight Music Theatre and Bailiwick Chicago. Aaron also music directed Promethean's The Fantasticks, and is currently appearing as the on-stage pianist in Porchlight's Putting It Together.
