The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to present Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Michael E. Burke (MFA Directing candidate, Class of 2018) in the Sondra & Denis Healy Theatre at The Theatre School building, located at Racine and Fullerton in Lincoln Park. The production premieres on Friday, October 21, and runs through Sunday, October 30, 2016. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on October 19 and 20 at 7:30 PM. Post-show discussions will occur onOctober 23 (2 PM) and 27 (7:30 PM).

About the production: Eurydice and Orpheus are young and in love. On their wedding night, Eurydice meets a man who claims to have a letter from her deceased father. She pursues the letter but dies in the effort. Orpheus descends into the Underworld to save her, and Eurydice must choose between a life with her husband and the certainty of her father's unconditional love.

For patrons who are blind or have low-vision, the performance will be audio described on Friday, October 28 at 7:30 PM with a pre-performance touch tour. Call 773.325.7900. The Theatre School's 2015-16 season in Lincoln Park is generously supported by presenting level sponsor PNC Bank. Tickets are $15, preview tickets are $10, and student tickets are always $5. The Theatre School at DePaul University is located at 2350 N. Racine Avenue (at Fullerton). The school is easily accessible via the Fullerton CTA Station and the Fullerton (74) Bus. Visitors and audience members can receive discounted parking rates in DePaul University's Clifton Parking Deck, located at 2330 N. Clifton Avenue. The cast features Edward Hall (Big Stone), Keith Ilidge (Orpheus), Sarah Serebian (Little Stone), Kiah Stern (Loud Stone), Michael Stock (Father), Sam Straley (Man/Child), and Sola Thompson (Eurydice).

The production team includes Michael E. Burke (Director), Jeff Mills (Movement Coach), Joy Ahn (Scenic Designer), Emilee Orton(Costume Designer), Simean Carpenter (Lighting Designer), Connor Ciesil (Sound Designer), Kaysie Bekkela (Dramaturg), and Danny Fender (Stage Manager).

Michael E. Burke (Director) is a Chicago native, most recently from Indianapolis, Indiana, where he served as Associate Artistic Director of NoExit Performance. Credits include Crime and Punishment (The Theatre School); Giselle, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Middletown, The Beast, The Lady & the Sanguine Man, Medea, I Am Peter Pan, and The Pillowman (NoExit). Michael currently serves as Creative Director of Indianapolis' Young Actors Theatre.
