The Comrades are pleased to announce the second show in their inaugural 2016 season, DYING CITY by Christopher Shinn. This poignant and dynamic psychological drama will be directed by 2016 Jeff Award winner Elizabeth Lovelady and play the Heartland Studio (7016 N Glenwood Ave, Chicago) from October 7 through October 30, 2016. Press opening is Sunday, October 9 at 7:30pm.

One year after his suspicious death, a young soldier's wife and twin brother meet for the first time since the funeral. A psychological showdown erupts as the two fight to reconcile their memories with the ugly truth. DYING CITY had its world premiere in 2006 at London's Royal Court Theatre and was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2008.

"After our well-received inaugural production of Mallery Avidon's Mary-Kate Olsen Is In Love earlier this year, we're excited to produce Christopher Shinn's engaging play," says The Comrades' Artistic Director Derek Bertelsen. "We're also thrilled to be working with guest director Elizabeth Lovelady on this production and we can't wait to share this show with this our audiences."

Tickets for DYING CITY will go on sale at a later date. For additional information, please visit www.the-comrades.com.
