Oracle Productions is excited to announce the world-premiere run of an important new play as well as our first collaboration with Theater on the Lake. Zachary Baker-Salmon adapts and directs THIS HOUSE BELIEVES THE AMERICAN DREAM IS AT THE EXPENSE OF THE AMERICAN NEGRO, with performances at Oracle Theatre and multiple park locations this summer. This 70 minute play is important for all audiences. As this nation's battle with racism and inequality deepens, this prescient show demonstrates how our past is still relevant to our present. Under the artistic curation ofIke Holter, THIS HOUSE BELIEVES previews at Theater on the Lake beginning August 5, 2015, and runs for a total of 9 performances both at the Washington Park Refectory and Austin Town Hall (detailed performance schedule below). Oracle then opens the world premiere on Public Access Theatre mainstage August 21, 2015, through September 19, 2015, at 3809 N. Broadway. Performances are Friday, Saturday and Monday nights at 8PM, Sundays at 7PM. Press are invited to attend the Oracle opening on August 21, or any performance thereafter.
