According to the Chicago Tribune, Barry Weissler, producer of THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS on Broadway, is looking to move the show to Chicago. He reveals, "I think it would play beautifully in Chicago. We'd like to see it sit down there."

He added, "It always depends on whether there's a producer willing to bring it in," says Eileen LaCario, the Broadway in Chicago vice-president. "But we've heard great things about the show."

THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS, the critically acclaimed Broadway musical, closed on December 12 at the Lyceum Theatre, after running for 49 performances and 29 previews. In the finAl Weeks of the run and in the days following the closing, the producers, cast members and creative team were overwhelmed with letters and emails of support for the daring, uncompromising Broadway musical, one of the final collaborations of the legendary team of John Kander and Fred Ebb, with a book by David Thompson and directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman.
