Raue Center is excited to announce the recipients of the Bill Dwyer Award! The Dwyer Award will be presented to Paula Dorion-Gray, Matt Turk and Chuck Stevens at the annual Stargazers Ball fundraiser on November 18, 2016 at the beautiful Bull Valley Golf Club.

Stargazers Ball is Raue Center's largest annual fundraiser. The glamorously exciting black-tie gala helps to raise funds for the operational needs of Raue Center programs like their arts outreach program, Mission Imagination, and Sage Studio . Stargazers Ball is made possible thanks to the wonderful support of INTREN. Additional Corporate sponsors include Eisenmann, Northwest Herald, Sage Products, Miller Verchota, Inc., Countryside Flower Shop, Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Hagg Press and McHenry County Living.

Raue Center would like to offer a special thanks to INTREN for their support of Stargazers Ball.

For over 25 years, INTREN has been an innovative solution partner, dedicated to building and maintaining the infrastructure of the energy industry. INTREN also has contributed generously to the regional and local arts in northern Illinois.

The Dwyer Award symbolizes the institutional advancement of Raue Center's mission to enrich the lives of all through the arts. The leaders receiving this award have proven themselves to be selfless pillars of the community who are willing to invest their time, their energies, and most importantly, their influence, as they help create a space where the arts can flourish.

Each of the Dwyer Award recipients has made a vast contribution to the cultural landscape of this community, impacting over 40 other community groups, over 1 million people, and most importantly, over 400,000 children.

Lead sculptor and Crystal Lake resident, Charlotte Blome, created the original artwork for the Dwyer Award with assistance from her husband, Erik Blome. The Dwyer Award marks the 4th bronze project the Blomes have created for Raue Center. The Blomes' work is on display in over 17 states and three countries. Their most notable work includes the Blackhawks' 75th anniversary sculpture and a sculpture of Wayne Gretzky both on display in the United Center, a statue of Rosa Parks at the Rosa Parks Museum in Montgomery, Ala., Oscar de la Hoya for the city of Los Angeles and a sculpture of local favorite, Jack Benny, in Waukegan, Ill.

Stargazers Ball will feature a live online auction and music provided by Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos. Online auction pieces include a Napa Valley wine tour for two, a weekend at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, a framed, hand-signed photo of Anthony Rizzo of the Chicago Cubs, Kate Spade purses and more!
