Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, presents the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of Relativity, written by Mark St. Germain, directed by BJ Jones, and featuring Mike Nussbaum as Albert Einstein. Relativity runs May 11 - June 18, 2017 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie.

In 1902 Albert and Mileva Einstein had a baby daughter. After 1904 she was never seen or spoken of again. Forty years later, a reporter interviews Einstein about this mysterious piece of his past, revealing shocking secrets about his family and his personal life. While the reporter questions Einstein on his theory of relativity and his decisions, she also poses a query of her own: to be a great man, does one first need to be a good man?

The author of Freud's Last Session and Becoming Dr. Ruth showcases his signature blend of insight, intellect, humor and heart in this fictional account of a legendary figure.

BJ Jones comments, "Taking on the iconic Einstein for us is Mike Nussbaum, who also happens to be Northlight's first Artistic Director. Mike is one of my oldest friends, both because he is 94, and because I have known him since Northlight's inception. We are privileged to see this artistic genius portray the 20th century's preeminent scientific genius. And it's fitting to have him back at the theater he started."

The cast of Relativity includes Mike Nussbaum (Albert Einstein), Katherine Keberlein (Margaret Harding), and Ann Whitney (Helen Dukas).
