It's an airtight slice of Americana! The New Colony is pleased to launch its 2014-15 mainstage season with the world premiere musical PLASTIC REVOLUTION at its new permanent home -- The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. PLASTIC REVOLUTION will play now through February 22, 2015 in The Den''s Upstairs Mainstage. The press opening is tonight, January 20 at 7:30 pm. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

This new musical, based on the company's 2009 hit production Tupperware: An American Musical Fable, features a book by Will Cavedo and Andrew Hobgood, lyrics by Andrew Hobgood, music by Julie Nichols, direction by Evan Linder and musical direction by Charlotte Rivard-Hoster.

PLASTIC REVOLUTION stars Joshua R. Bartlett, Daeshawna Cook, Elise Mayfield, Lizzie Schwarzrock, Sasha Smith, Danny Taylor and Cassie Thompson.

When recently widowed Delores Clarke meets Tupperware pioneer Brownie Wise, a new phenomenon sweeps through their picturesque 1950s Kissimee, Florida neighborhood. Selling a few hours of independence to local women with a revolutionary plastic craze, they tackle social norms, small-town politics and change the face of the American dinner table forever.

The production team for PLASTIC REVOLUTION includes William Boles (scenic design), Nathan Rohrer (costume design), John Kelly (lighting design), Paul Perry (sound design), Jamie Karas (props design), Brianna Parry (production manager) and Sarah Collonge (stage manager).
