Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, announces Lauren Shouse as the company's new Literary Manager. Shouse previously served as a dramaturgy consultant for the company in 2015.

BJ Jones comments, "I'm looking forward to working with Lauren as we continue to grow and expand our own new work initiatives. If her work with us so far is any indication, she is going to make a strong, supportive and collaborative member of our team."

Prior to her work with Northlight, Lauren was Artistic Associate at Nashville Repertory Theatre where she managed the literary department and served as the resident dramaturg. At Nashville Rep, Lauren directed the Ingram New Works Play Lab and Festival, which developed new works by John Patrick Shanley, David Auburn, Steven Dietz and Victoria Stewart. Lauren also co-founded Ten Minute Playhouse Nashville, a company that produced short plays by local playwrights. Before moving to Nashville, Lauren worked in London with Producer/Director Hugh Wooldridge. Her work abroad includes Production Executive for The Night of 1000 Voices at The Royal Albert Hall and The Odyssey Arena, as well as An Evening with Michael Parkinson at The Theatre Royal. Lauren holds an MFA in theatre directing from Northwestern University and an MA in Performance Studies from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. In Chicago, she has also worked at Steppenwolf Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Lookingglass Theatre and Stage Left Theatre.
