Mercy Street Theatre kicks off its debut season with THE MERCY STREET AFFAIR, a classy soiree and new plays festival featuring live music, pastries, and craft cocktails inspired by the plays in the upcoming 2015 season. THE MERCY STREET AFFAIR takes place November 18, 2014 at The Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago at 8 pm. The event is paywhatyoucan, with a suggested donation of $10. To RSVP, please visit www.mercystreettheatre.org.

Sure to be a killer party, THE MERCY STREET AFFAIR will kick off its night by presenting four brand new short plays from our resident playwrights. These plays include The Intrepid Explorer Returns! by EJC Calvert directed by ensemble member Clint Worthington, Nightmare by Dusty Wilson directed by artistic director Julia Rohed,

Lonely Hearts by Rachel DuBose directed by producing director Danielle Stack, and Merry Christmas, Mulch Pie by Dakota Parobek directed by associate artistic director Jake L. Fruend. Following the performance, the audience will get a chance to meet the ensemble while enjoying live jazz music, pastries and craft cocktails. "The Mercy Street Affair is sort of our coming out party, so to speak! It's a chance for the community to see we what we are all about and support us in our first season endeavors," comments artistic director Julia Rohed.
