The LIVINGroom announces the lineup and details for the first installment of its 2017 solo performance season at Stage 773. Coming from the worlds of improv, sketch comedy, theatre, and solo performance, performers Travis Barnhart, Bo Johnson, Sheila O'Connor, Mollie Rehner, and Jill Valentine join LIVINGroom ensemble members Carly Jo Geer and Megan Powell on Sundays, March 12, 19, and 26 in The LIVINGroom: Hot Mess, directed by Stage 773 Creative Director Brian Posen.

In an intimate, ensemble-driven staging in Stage 773's Cabaret Theater, storytelling, performance art, and theatricality unite in autobiographical solo pieces about walking, losing, gaining, dating, dancing, and remembering to breathe through the messes of life.

"I fell in love with this particular art form from the minute I first experienced it about a dozen years ago," says director Brian Posen. "It's so personal and unique without being over-indulgent or over-emoting. Every performance comes from the heart from each performer and requires such a sense of rawness and vulnerability that always moves an audience to feeling, thought, and action. I am honored to be a guest in the LIVINGroom by directing seven talented, hand-picked performers who are sharing their raw and intimate truths."

The LIVINGroom: Hot Mess runs at 7:00 pm on Sundays, March 12, 19 and 26 at Stage 773, located at 1225 W. Belmont, Chicago. Tickets are $10, $7 for students with valid ID, and are available at the box office and at http://stage773.com, or 773-327-5252.

The LIVINGroom is a solo performance series that brings together artists and directors who devise, stage, and perform autobiographical stories based on a theme. Staged in the Cabaret Theater at Stage 773, performances blend spoken word, movement, theatre, spectacle, music, and any other device that bridges the personal and the universal.
