The League of Chicago Theatres adds two new dates to its Summer Showcase series. Members of Kokandy Productions and Sideshow Theatre will present live performances today, August 14, at noon and The Hypocrites and Barrel of Monkeys will perform on Friday, August 28 at noon. All performances will take place inside the historic Water Works building at 163 E. The August 14 showcase will include a performance from Loving Repeating by Kokandy Productions and Sideshow Theatre's Stupid F**king Bird. On August 28, The Hypocrites will perform a selection from American Idiot and Barrel of Monkeys will perform student-written stories. Both lunchtime showcases will be hosted by novelty folk duo Gretchen & Regina and will also feature interviews with the artists and a performance from a musician from the Old Town School of Folk Music.

The Summer Showcase is free and open to the public. No reservations are required.
