Joan Curto To Premiere THIS IS NEW in Chicago, November 10-12

Called "a cabaret icon" by NBC Chicago, After Dark award-winning vocalist Joan Curto stars in the world premiere of her new show appropriately titled This Is New. Praised by the Chicago Tribunes noted jazz critic Howard Reich as a seasoned interpreter who makes the most of every note." Joan will bedazzle Chicago audiences not only with her voice but also with New Songs, New Dress, and New Shoes. Performing songs ranging from Leonard Cohen to Hoagy Carmichael, Curto will open up her files of someday" songs she wanted to sing and will offer an evening filled with sass, comedy and a touch of heartache. Another Chicago favorite, Beckie Menzie provides musical direction and will be joined by Mike Torti on saxophone. Joan Curto, who has won the After Dark Award for Outstanding Cabaret Vocalist, is recognized as one of the nations premier interpreters of the great American songbook.
