Lyric Opera will present acclaimed actress, comedian and singer Jane Lynch in her critically-praised cabaret show See Jane Sing during the 2015/16 season. Lynch is known to audiences around the world for her Emmy and Golden Globe winning role as Sue Sylvester on Glee and recently made her Broadway debut in the revival of Annie.

Due to a scheduling conflict resulting from the production schedule of her new series Angel From Hell on CBS, the dates for Ms. Lynch's Lyric performances are moving from the previously announced December 17 and 18, 2015, to newly confirmed dates on June 17 and 18, 2016, with performances at 7pm and 9:30 pm each evening.

"I can't wait to come home and bring our cabaret show to Chicago early next summer!" says Lynch. "Playing at the beautiful Lyric Opera theater for the very first time is an experience I can't wait to share with my hometown fans. I promise it will be well worth the wait."

Those holding tickets for the December performances will automatically be rolled into their corresponding June performances and new tickets are being deployed by e-mail. Ticket holders need do nothing to keep their tickets for the new dates, or may choose to call Lyric Opera at 312.827.5600 to exchange into one of the other three See Jane Sing performances.

Tickets for the four June performances of See Jane Sing are on sale now at lyricopera.org or by phone at 312-827-5600. Seating for these special performances will be in an intimate cabaret style, with the audience seated on the stage, facing out to view the iconic art-deco Ardis Krainik Theatre. Tickets range from $50-$150.

In See Jane Sing, Lynch takes audiences on a musical journey through a world of songs from Broadway to cabaret. In an evening that departs in a big way from your typical Broadway narrative, Lynch, accompanied by a five-piece band, builds the performance around her musical chops and comedic wit and charm. Joining her on stage for parts of the show are special guest Kate Flannery (Meredith on The Office), who plays Lynch's mischievous vocal partner, and Tim Davis, the talented former musical arranger on Glee.

Lynch made her Lyric debut as master of ceremonies of Lyric's 60th Anniversary Concert in November 2014, introducing operatic stars and performing in a few comedic skits with friends from The Second City and Lyric's own creative consultant Renée Fleming.

A native of Evergreen Park and Dolton, Illinois, Lynch first cut her theatrical teeth at The Second City, Steppenwolf Theatre, and in many church basements all over the greater Chicagoland area. In addition to hosting Hollywood Game Night on NBC, Jane's recent film credits include A.C.O.D, The Three Stooges, Wreck-It Ralph, Julie & Julia, Shrek Forever After, The Post Grad Survival Guide, Paul, and Brownie Masters.
