A CHRISTMAS CAROL, the dazzling annual holiday tradition entertaining thousands of families each year, will be presented from November 23 through December 22 at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane. The timeless classic is directed by Scott Calcagno and features a cast of acclaimed Chicago actors, led by Michael Joseph Mitchell as "Scrooge." The beloved story is enhanced with traditional carols. Drury Lane Theatre also offers families the special opportunity to have breakfast or dinner with Santa Claus on select performance dates, with a festive buffet-style menu complete with seasonal favorites.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly old man who receives a Christmas Eve visit from the ghost of his old business partner, Jacob Marley, warning him to mend his ways. During the night, three spirits appear before Scrooge showing him visions of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Future to reveal the results of his selfish life. Scrooge promises to redeem himself and vows to honor the spirit of Christmas with all his heart, spreading good cheer, kindness and generosity to everyone he encounters.

The production stars Michael Joseph Mitchell as Scrooge. Also featured are Sean Effinger Dean as Peter/Dick/Turkey Boy, Ashlee Edgemon as Belinda/Fan/Ghost of Christmas Future, Don Forston as Mr. Fezziwig/Ghost of Christmas Present, Tina Gluschenko as Charity Woman/ Laundress, Derek Hasenstab as Marley/Topper/Undertaker, Megan Long as Belle/Abby, Catherine Lord as Mrs. Crachit/Ghost of Christmas Past, Kelly Maier as Martha/Emily, Amy Roeder as Mrs. Fezziwig/ Cleaning Lady, Aaron Rustebakke as Fred/Young Scrooge, Sean Thomas as Charity Man/Old Joe, and Andrew Weir as Bob Cratchit. Charles Babbo and KillIan Hughes star as Tiny Tim.

The artistic team for A CHRISTMAS CAROL is led by director Scott Calcagno. Choreography is by Robyn Robbins. Sound Design is by Ray Nardelli, Technical Direction is by Jeremy Drechny, Musical Direction is by Ann McMann and Lighting Design is by Cassie Mings.

Breakfast with Santa is offered on Saturday, November 24, and December 1, 8, 15 and 22 at 11:30 a.m., with the performance at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. The Breakfast Buffet package price for adults is $25.00 and $22.00 for children 12 and under. A special Dinner Buffet with Santa is available on Wednesday, December 19 at 5:30 p.m., with the performance at 7:30 p.m. The Dinner Buffet package price for adults is $35.00 and $27.00 for children 12 and under.

Regular performances are at 10:00 a.m. Certain performances at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. are scheduled (call the box office for specific details). Performances will take place every day except November 25, 26 and 27 and December 2, 3, 9, 10, 13, and 16. Performance only tickets are available for $12 and a group rate of $10 per person is available for parties of 20 or more.
