The Other Theatre Company and Artistic Director Carin Silkaitis are proud to announce the company's 2015-2016 season. The Other Theatre Company (TOTC) continues their mission to tell the stories of "othered" and marginalized groups through audience engagement and educational outreach.

The 2015-2016 season, the company's second complete season, opens with Daughters of Ire, written by company member Savanna Rae and directed by Artistic Director Carin Silkaitis, September 2 - 20. In time for the holidays is a familiar story with a queer twist in Barney the Elf, written by company member Bryan Renaud and choreographed by Tommy Rivera-Vega, December 2 - 20.

The new year brings Other Letters, written by The Other Theatre Company Collective and directed by Artistic Director Carin Silkaitis, in February 2016. Finishing up the season is a new play The Hole by company member Bryan Renaud, opening in spring.

A new musical parody of the film Elf with a very queer twist. Starring Yando Lopez as "Barney" and drag star and entertainer Malibu Stacey as "Zooey."

Inspired by A.R. Gurney's Love Letters and performed with a new cast each week. Other Letters takes a decidedly queer approach to the connection and power of love. Actors will be announced at a later date.

The stories shared in The Hole are from women whom have survived prison, but the long arm of the prison industrial complex is still trying to bury them alive. A play about women trying to dig out and start again.


The Other Theatre Company is dedicated to telling the stories of individuals or groups who are "othered" or marginalized in society. Comprised of activists who openly express their opinion on the various issues presented in the media and beyond, The Company engages their audience in a dialogue through performance and educational outreach. The Other Theatre Company believes in and fights for equality.
