Christie Brinkley to Star In CHICAGO at Citi Wang Theatre, 11/1-4

Christie Brinkley, one of the world's most successful supermodels, will make her Boston debut in the National Tour of the Tony Award-winning hit musical "Chicago." She will star as merry murderess Roxie Hart with John O'Hurley as Billy Flynn in a strictly limited 6-show engagement at the Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre, November 1-4. Press night is set for Thursday, November 1 at 7:30 pm. Tickets go on sale on Friday, September 7 at 10 am.

Supermodel and actress, Christie Brinkley received critical-acclaim in 2010 when she made her Broadway stage debut as merry murderess Roxie Hart in the Tony Award-winning hit musical "Chicago." She continued her stage success reprising the role in London's West End for a limited four-week run and again, wowed the sold-out audiences. Back by popular demand, Christie reprised the role of Roxie this spring for a return engagement on Broadway. Christie continues to tour with the National Touring Company of "Chicago," in cities including San Diego and the famed Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. She recently honed her comedy chops in the new hit comedy "Celebrity Autobiography," where superstar memoirs are acted out live on stage. "Celebrity Autobiography" features a first-rate comedic ensemble performing from the actual memoirs of a wide range of celebrities.

Throughout her phenomenal career as one of the country's most successful and recognizable supermodels, Christie Brinkley excels as an artist, writer, photographer, designer, actress, philanthropist environmentalist and political activist.

Combining her modeling experience with her artistic talents and diverse interests, Christie Brinkley recently launched a line of natural skin care products as part of her new company, Christie Brinkley Beauty.

John O'Hurley returns to the road to reprise the role of Billy Flynn. The suave, debonair, award-winning actor and star of stage, TV & film is no stranger to CHICAGO. He starred on Broadway in CHICAGO, as the male lead "Billy Flynn" and in a two-year stint as the head of the Round Table, King Arthur, in Eric Idle's hilarious musical comedy "Monty Python's Spamalot" in Las Vegas. On the small screen, he was seen weekly for many years on the popular syndicated show "Family Feud."

As a follow-up to his Billboard chart topping CD Peace of Our Minds (which was the first independently produced CD to ever reach #13 on the Billboard Music charts), O'Hurley recently released Secrets from the Lake, a collaboration of his piano compositions with cellist Marston Smith.

Now in its 16th glorious year of girls, glitz and glamour on the Great White Way, the record-breaking smash hit musical CHICAGO is now the fourth longest-running production in Broadway history.

With a legendary book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, CHICAGO is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.

Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.

The national tour is directed by Scott Faris and choreographed by Gary Chryst. Walter Bobbie is the director of the original New York Production and Ann Reinking was the original choreographer in the style of Bob Fosse. CHICAGO features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer. The production also features orchestrations by Ralph Burns, supervising music direction by Rob Fisher.

CHICAGO plays at the Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre November 1 – 4 for six performances: Thursday at 7:30 pm (press night); Friday at 8 pm; Saturday at 2 pm and 8 pm; and Sunday at 1 pm and 6:30 pm. Tickets are priced at $48.75 - $128.75; all prices include a $3.75 facility fee per ticket. Tickets go on-sale for the general public on Friday, September 7 at 10AM.
