Broadway In Chicago's Concert moves to Millennium Park this summer. The FREE BROADWAY IN CHICAGO CONCERT will take place on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 6:15 p.m. at the Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park. Hosted by ABC-7's Janet Davies, star of 190 NORTH, the concert will feature performances by the iconic rock legend Cyndi Lauper with members of the cast from the pre-Broadway world premiere of her new musical KINKY BOOTS, Joey from War Horse and Cathy Rigby as PETER PAN.

Also performing are cast members from CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, I LOVE LUCY® LIVE ON STAGE, LES MISÉRABLES, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, SISTER ACT, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, the American Music Theatre Project's THE VERONA PROJECT and Emerald City Theatre's CINDERELLA.

This year's concert will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of one of the largest and most influential theatrical companies, the Nederlander Organization, who founded Broadway In Chicago, as well as feature performances by the Illinois High School Musical Theater Award recipients: Nathan Salstone of Northbrook, Illinois, and Meadow Nguy of O' Fallon, Illinois. Recently, Salstone and Nguy participated in The Jimmy™ Awards, named for legendary Broadway theater owner and producer James M. Nederlander, on June 25, 2012.

Inspired by a true story and based on the film, KINKY BOOTS features a warm and witty book by Harvey Fierstein (La Cage, Torch Song Trilogy, Newsies) and a richly diverse musical score from music icon Cyndi Lauper in her stunning theatrical debut. Director Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, La Cage, Broadway Bares) has crafted a production bound to move, inspire and set audience's feet dancing. In KINKY BOOTS, Charlie Price is forced to step in and save his family's shoe factory in Northern England, following the sudden death of his father. Help comes from the unlikeliest angel, a fabulous drag performer named Lola. Together, this improbable duo revitalizes the failing business, while helping one another grow into the men their fathers always dreamed they would become and transforming an entire community through the power of acceptance.

SISTER ACT

War Horse special appearance by Joey
