Broadway In Chicago is thrilled to announce that former "Saturday Night Live" and Comedy Central star Colin Quinn will move his one-man show Colin Quinn LONG STORY SHORT, directed by Jerry Seinfeld, to the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut St.) for a limited three-week engagement from Aug. 24 - Sep. 10, 2011.

After being extended twice on Broadway, Colin Quinn LONG STORY SHORT aired as an HBO Special in April 2011. Prior to Chicago, this critically-acclaimed, Drama Desk Award nominated hit will play East Hampton, Philadelphia and Montreal this summer. Comically channeling the demise of great world empires, Colin Quinn uses his "articulate brand of comedy" in taking audiences through an uproarious history of the world in 75 minutes. From his personification of Caesar as the original Italian mobster to his complaints about Ancient Greece and Antigone giving way to Costco and Snooki, Quinn is at his satirical best, taking on the attitudes, appetites and bad habits that toppled the world's most powerful nations. Colin Quinn LONG STORY SHORT proves that throughout human history, the joke has always been on us.
The New York Times and Variety rave "Hilarious," Entertainment Weekly exclaims "Stunning" and Time Magazine says "Colin Quinn nails it. State of the art."

Colin Quinn began his comic career in New York as a regular on the comedy show circuit. Colin made his television debut as co-host of MTV's popular game show "Remote Control". Quinn landed a spot on the legendary late-night show, "Saturday Night Live" where he entertained audience for five seasons. After SNL, Quinn tackled societal issues on "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn". Colin's first one-man show Sanctifying Grace, began off-Broadway in 1994 and was later produced as Colin Quinn - An Irish Wake and played at the Helen Hayes Theatre. Last summer, Colin appeared in the Adam Sandler comedy "Grown Ups".

Running 75-minutes without an intermission, Colin Quinn LONG STORY SHORT is directed by Jerry Seinfeld and produced by Eva Price and Richard Martini.
