Blue Man Group Adds Performances to Holiday Schedule in Chicago

Blue Man Group, celebrating 25 years of living in full color, will bring louder drummer boys and not so silent nights to audiences this holiday season with the announcement of an enhanced holiday performance schedule at the Briar Street Theatre (3133 N. Halsted). T

he added performances, including four special New Year's Eve shows, will provide Chicago visitors and residents with more opportunities to experience the theatrical phenomenon throughout the season.

Blue Man Group will take part in kicking off the 2016 holiday season in Chicago by performing at the The BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival Saturday, November 19. More information will be announced at a later date.

Blue Man Group is comedy, theater, rock concert and dance party all rolled into one. This wildly popular phenomenon delivers an outrageous multi-sensory entertainment experience that audiences will never forget. A dynamic combination of music, comedy and technology, the show appeals to a broad range of age groups and cultural backgrounds. It is continually refreshed with new music, fresh stories, custom instruments and state-of-the-art technology.

Those looking to avoid Black Friday weekend shopping lines can enjoy specially added Blue Man Group performances Friday, November 25 and Saturday, November 26 shows at 12 p.m., 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Families can kick off their New Year's Eve celebrations early with Blue Man Group's kid-friendly performances at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, December 31. Children will be transformed into members of the Blue Man Group band with pre-show face painting. Other festivities include a "midnight" countdown after the show, complete with party hats and noisemakers, and a special performance of "Auld Lang Syne" by the Blue Men.

Blue Man Group will continue ringing in 2017 with additional New Year's Eve shows at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., which include festive party hats and a celebratory champagne toast for attendees. Guests of the 10 p.m. show will also experience a spectacular New Year's Eve countdown party. Complete with noisemakers, a midnight champagne toast, confetti drop and performance of "Auld Lang Syne" by the Blue Men, it is guaranteed to be a celebration unlike any other.
