Aziz Ansari: Buried Alive! Adds Second Show at The Chicago Theatre
Due to demand, TBS presents a very funny festival Just for Laughs Chicago has announced that Aziz Ansari will appear in a second show at The Chicago Theatre on Friday, June 15 at 10:30pm. Tickets are $35.50 & $45.50 (plus service charge) and are now on sale!
“Aziz Ansari: Buried Alive” is just the first of many shows to be announced as part of the fourth annual TBS presents a very funny festival Just for Laughs Chicago, which will again host an astonishing array of comedians, sketch shows, specialty acts and films in some of Chicago’s best venues from June 12-17. Additional festival announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
Aziz Ansari has quickly established his presence in the comedy world. The Hollywood Reporter said that he “has become one of the most prolific writers and performers on the comedy scene in recent years” and Rolling Stone recently placed him on the cover of their special comedy issue labelling him “the funniest man under 30.” In addition, Paste Magazine has named him one of the “Top 10 Comedians of the Decade.”
Ansari co-stars opposite Amy Poehler in the Emmy nominated NBC series, “Parks and Recreation,” which is currently in its fourth season. Ansari is also keeping busy in the film world and was most recently seen starring in the action comedy 30 Minutes or Less opposite Jesse Eisenberg and Danny McBride. He will next voice a character in Twentieth Century Fox's "Ice Age: Continental Drift.” Additionally, Ansari is developing three films for Judd Apatow and Universal with Director Jason Woliner.
