Theatre Charlotte Hosts auditions for SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR- A Comedy by Bernard Slade

Saturday, March 19 by appointment only
Performances: June 17 - June 26

Director: Vito Abate
Stage Manager: Meghan Helms

Same Time, Next Year is a two character 1975 comedy by Bernard Slade. The play was nominated for numerous awards and won a Best Actress Tony for Ellyn Burstyn.
The plot focuses on two people, married to others, who meet for a romantic tryst once a year, starting in 1951, for two dozen years. During the time they spend with each other, they discuss the births, deaths, and marital problems each is experiencing at home, while they adapt themselves to the social changes affecting their lives. What always remains through the years is the deep affection the two share.
These characters are portrayed from their 20's to their late 50's through six scenes, each 4-5 years apart.

Auditions will be held at Theatre Charlotte by appointment only on Saturday, March 19 starting at 10am and will consist of readings from the script. To schedule an appointment, please contact the stage manager at:
stnytheatrecharlotte@gmail.com.

If you are interested but unavailable on March 19, we would still like to hear from you. Please email your general availability so we can try to set up an appointment for another day.
