Linda Ann Watt Hosts New Acting Class, Begin. Today

CharlotteActing.com, Master Class Acting & Scene Study for film and theater with SAG-AFTRA, AEA Instructor, Linda Ann Watt, employing "Method" techniques of Strasberg, Meisner, Adler, Katselas and Kazan. This is a highly participative class, which meets on Thursdays at Spirit Square, 345 North College Street, Charlotte for 10 weekly sessions, 7-9PM, starting today, January 16, 2014.

Sessions include relaxation, sense memory technique, voice, improvisation and in-depth scene study using personalization, substitution and creative hiding. One class is devoted to "on-camera" cold reading, the business of acting and the audition process.

Students who complete the Master Class Acting & Scene Study are invited into Workshop Advanced with an audition. Workshop Advanced is an ongoing class which meets at Spirit Square on Wednesday nights.

Watt is a member of SAG-AFTRA, AEA, and owner of Corlin Productions, a union signatory Production Company and a past board member of Women in Film in L.A. Through Corlin Productions, Watt produces and directs film, television and commercials. She is also a contributing editor for Broadwayworld, Charlotte. Watt teaches a Workshop Advanced for working actors and directors, an Enrichment Arts Program for youth and youth summer camp. Watt produced the educational DVD, "The Method based on Stanislavski and Strasberg" written by Lorrie Hull Ph.D. (only teaching tool approved by Strasberg).
