GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING VOCALIST, LISA FISCHER

Grammy Award-Winning Lisa Fischer

Last night at the Blumenthal's McGlohon Theatre at Spirit Square, Grammy Award-Winning songstress, Lisa Fischer swirled, twirled, and belted out tunes that had her rambunctious fans cheering, singing, and giving standing ovations. She started the set with two inspirational songs, Breath of Heaven (Amy Grant) and Don't You Let Anyone Drag Your Spirit Down (Author Unknown), which was perfect for the setting, because the McGlohon, with its exquisite stained-glass windows, was previously a church before it was converted into a theater, as a couple of her fans shouted out. Her trio band, led by musical director, JC Maillard, provided just the "night cap" for an exhilarating evening. Lisa rocked the audience with tunes such as Led Zeppelin's Lonely Time, The Rolling Stone's Jumpin Jack Flash, and Robert Palmer's Addicted To Love. She passionately serenaded her audience members with Fever by Peggy Lee and even danced with one of her suitors who brought her flowers. The highlight of the evening is when Lisa sung her 1991 Grammy-Award winning song, Ease The Pain from her album So Intense. Using the microphones as tools to create a vibrato effect that echoed and filled the interior walls, Ms. Fischer left her fans with a unique musical escapade that very few will forget...and she enjoyed the journey as much as they did.
