It's here already - the second semi-annual, no obligation test drive of the Hershey Community Chorus! On Mondays January 18 and 25, the Chorus will sing through its entire spring concert repertoire and tell you everything you might want to know about the chorus. If we are the ensemble for you, register for the upcoming season right after the rehearsal. Thinking we are not a good fit? No problem - again, the evening is a no- obligation test drive.

Entitled For the Beauty of the Earth, the concerts feature works about nature, our lives in nature, and a celebration of God's creation of nature. Some highlights include Lauridsen's stunning setting of Sure on This Shining Night, Ron Drotos' jazzy and whimsical A Bird Came Down the Walk, and the powerful Mark Hayes setting of All Creatures of Our God and King.

Rehearsals are Monday evenings 7 - 9:15 PM, at the Hershey Free Church, 330 Hilltop Road, Hummelstown. Concerts are Friday, May 13, 7:00 PM, at First United Methodist Church of Hershey and Sunday, May 15, 4:00 PM, at Grace United Methodist Church in Hummelstown. Test drive is Monday, January 18 and Monday, January 25, 7 - 9:15 PM, at the Hershey Free Church, with registrations taken after or before rehearsals. The registration fee is $30.00 which helps cover the cost of music and other expenses. For more information, call 508-4400 or email info@HersheyCommunityChorus.org.

Our first test drive last August brought us several new members, and we would like to keep the momentum! We are a community chorus in its truest sense - no audition is required. The only prerequisites are enjoyment of making music together and the ability to sing in tune.
