The second season of the PORTRAIT OF A LADY series produced by local actor/singer Reji Woods opened at the Lancaster Trust last week with a tribute to Sixties diva Diana Ross. Emceed by assistant producer Audra Woods, the evening was devoted to some of the major hits of one of America's major musical stars.

The evening's performers included Jessie Macbeth, Joelle Teeter, Kalie Martin, popular Sight And Sound and Gretna Timbers performer Lindsey Aeriel Grimble, former New York cabaret artist Maria Pancella, and Megan Poff. Although Reji Woods was scheduled to perform, he was unavailable due to rehearsals for a production in Philadelphia; however, filling in for Woods was an actual video of Miss Ross herself performing "Home".

The sets included a Supremes set, songs from Diana Ross films, and a set of her solo work. Highlights included Megan Poff's performances of "Baby Love" and "Upside Down," Grimble's "Reach Out and Touch Somebody's Hand," Macbeth's rendition of "Love Child," and Martin's "God Bless the Child",

For those who missed it, the cabaret is being repeated June 5 at the Lancaster Trust at 7 pm. Coffee is available. For information, visit LancasterTrust.com. Next up, beginning June 19,is the PORTRAIT OF A LADY tribute to Dolly Parton.
