Allenberry Playhouse, under the leadership of Artistic Director Ryan B. Gibbs presents an original holiday musical, THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS, from November 4 - December 20. THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS is written by Jacqueline Heinze. Ryan B. Gibbs directs, Oren Korenblum is choreographer, Andy Hudson is music director.

"This is the time of year where Allenberry sparkles: our original programming with our annual Christmas show, said Artistic Director Ryan B. Gibbs. "THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS is a charming love letter to the holiday season that will warm you and your families heart and get you right in the mood. It's our tenth Christmas show penned by our own Jackie Heinze and will be the perfect holiday wish from our family at The Playhouse to yours. I'd like to think of our show as an old-fashioned Christmas special that we all watched growing up; it will bring a joy to your children and bring out the kid in you!"

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS is a 90-minute show perfect for all generations. Before the show, enjoy a hearty, holiday feast from our buffet complete with a greeting from Mrs. Claus, Santa and Christmas Carollers. At the show, tap your feet, sing along, and be transported into the wonderful world of Christmas! It's music and merriment for the whole family! Join us after the show to meet with the cast over cookies and hot cocoa.

In that awkward age between childhood and adulthood, Ruby longs for an adventure away from home at Christmas time, but she couldn't possibly anticipate the journey that awaits her. When Ruby suddenly finds herself inside a magical winter wonderland, where dreams may come true but danger also lurks, she must rely on the friendship and guidance of a host of wintry, mystical characters to help her get home. With a nod to L. Frank Baum's The Wizard of Oz, this young girl's voyage into the extraordinary and enchanting North Pole like you've never seen it, will delight audiences of all ages-and remind us all of the real meaning of the holidays.

The cast features Erin Whitcomb (Aunt Fran/Frigidia), Craig E. Treubert (Sam/Twiggs), Sydney Leigh Allen (Queen WIntergreen), Joe York (Slush /Ensemble), Keland Alaka'i Sarno (Devon/Gust), Kelly Hubbell (Ruby), Kayli Jamison (Cocoa/Ensemble), and Ben Koontz (Woolens/Ensemble).

The production design team includes Tabitha Pease (sets), Greer Vashon (costumes), Ryan Gibbs (lights), and Corey Ebling (sound). Katherine Boener is production stage manager.

Allenberry is fortunate to have the help of 16 local youngsters working on the show to celebrate the holidays in their own backyard.

Matinee performances of THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS are Tuesday through Saturday at 1pm, evening performances (in December only) are Thursday through Saturday at 7pm, and Sunday matinee at 2pm.
