Two months ago we ran an enigmatic film called "Enemy" starring Jake Gyllenhal. Though fascinating, the audience left the theatre scratching their heads "What was THAT?" Now, a second retelling of the best-selling novel "The Double" has hit the screens. This one takes a completely different approach to the novel -- it's a comedy-drama, not science fiction; it does not feature any other worldy creatures like giant spiders, and it stars Jesse Eisenberg, an oscar-nominee for "The Social Network." If you saw the first one, catch this re-make -- which is virtually entirely different take on the same novel. If you didn't see "Enemy," see this one, instead.

In short, Simon James (Eisenberg) is a timid office clerk working in an ominous government organization. He is overlooked by his boss (Wallace Shawn) and colleagues, scorned by his mother, and ignored by Hannah (Mia Wasikowska), the lovely copy room girl he pines for. Undermined and undervalued everywhere he turns, it seems that his directionless life couldn't get any worse-until the arrival of James Simon, his new coworker. James is both Simon's exact physical double and his personality opposite: confident, charismatic and seductive with women. To Simon's horror, James slowly starts taking over his life!
