Sunset Blvd. follows departed star of the silent screen era and tortured soul, Norma Desmond. Her glamour and fame have faded all but in her mind and she longs for her grand return to the silver screen. When she accidentally crosses paths with Joe Gillis, a struggling Hollywood screen-writer, their subsequent passionate and volatile relationship leads to a startling conclusion.

(4/14/2014) - Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC), under the leadership of Vivienne Benesch Artistic Director and Sarah Clare Corporandy Managing Director, has announced programming for its 2014 season featuring Lorraine Hansberry's classic A Raisin in the Sun, directed by Ethan McSweeny (June 28-July 6), The May Queen, a world premiere by Molly Smith Metzler (July 18-27), directed by Vivienne Benesch, and Shakespeare's The Tempest (August 8-15), starring Lisa Harrow, directed by Jade King Carroll on the Bratton Theater Mainstage.

This concert will mark their public debut playing together in an orchestral setting.

The event will include a performance by Jesse Cook and his band, incorporating elements of flamenco rumba, jazz, and many forms of world music.
