The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival launches their dynamic 2016 season with four premieres, as well as four beloved Broadway classics. The eight-show season opens with Oklahoma! on Wednesday, June 1. It has been 18 years since "Broadway in the Finger Lakes," visited the prairie and is excited to announce the return of Rodgers and Hammerstein's hit classic.

Oklahoma! is directed/choreographed by Jen Waldman (FLMTF: My Fair Lady, Man of La Mancha, Jekyll & Hyde, Showboat and Titanic). Jeff Theiss (Broadway: Lysistrata Jones; FLMTF: Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings, The Light in the Piazza, Sweeney Todd, On the Town, Mary Poppins) music directs. Longtime FLMTF costume designer, Tiffany Howard (FLMTF: West Side Story, Hank Williams: Lost Highway, The Marvelous Wonderettes, and Cabaret) brings the show to life and FLMTF resident lighting designer, Dan Ozminkowski (FLMTF: West Side Story, Light in the Piazza; Arkansas Rep: Treasure Island: A New Musical) returns for the show.

Oklahoma! closes on June 22 and will be followed by the North American premiere of Tim Rice's epic love story, From Here To Eternity (June 29-July 20). A romantic comedy for the entire family, Austen's Pride: A New Musical of Pride and Prejudice (July 13-24), will launch the Festival's new venue in Rochester, N.Y., The Callahan Theater at Nazareth College Arts Center. The fun continues back at the Playhouse with the Gershwin song and dance extravaganza, Crazy For You (July 27- August 17), followed by the regional premiere of the high stakes adventure, Treasure Island, A New Musical (August 24- September 10). Next up is the rock 'n' roll megahit, Million Dollar Quartet (September 15-October 1) and the regional premiere of Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical(October 5-19) which gives audiences a poignant glimpse into Rosemary's life set to the biggest hits of her career. The Festival season ends with Smokey Joe's Café (November 2-19), a song and dance rollercoaster of rock, R&B, jazz and a whole lotta soul.
