This holiday season, Blackfriars is bringing back three wonderful productions to its stage, including two holiday favorites returning from past seasons. Kicking off the holiday season is the 2012 favorite It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. We return to WBFR to revisit this unique twist on the classic story of It's a Wonderful Life. The same cast from last year is also returning and features Brian Doran, Peter J. Doyle,Jack Purcell, David Baxter, Linda Loy, and Mary Hoffman. Performances will take place December 13, 14, 15, and 21 at 8 pm, and December 21 and 22at 2pm. Ticket prices range from $28.50-$36.50 and are available now.

Running concurrently is the hysterically funny play The Santaland Diaries, by David Sedaris. David Jason Kyle is back as everyone's favorite cranky elf, Crumpet, in this holiday comedy. Kyle brings Sedaris' story to life, recounting his days working at Macy's during the Christmas shopping season as an elf. This sell-out hit returns for a fourth presentation that is sure to bring many laughs to your holiday plans. Performances will take place December 14 and 15 at 2pm, December 19 at 7:30pm, and December 21 and 22 at 8pm. Ticket prices range from $28.50-$36.50 and are available now.

Finally, Blackfriars invites you to join us for New Year's Eve! Returning from its smash hit run at the 2013 Fringe Festival is Waiting at the Crossroads Café. Janine Mercandetti and Robyn Fazio star as two lifelong friends who work as singing waitresses at The Crossroads Café and both eagerly awaiting news that could change their lives forever. One hopes to land a part in her first Broadway show and the other dreams of a much delayed marriage proposal. Will they each get what they want? Two of Rochester's most well known female performers bring you a show filled with an eclectic mix of contemporary music, standards, and show tunes. You won't want to miss a wonderful New Year's Eve at Blackfriars. Two performances will take place December 31 at 7:00pm at 9:30pm, and tickets are $35.00. Light refreshments will be served before the shows.
