Jeremy Huck is an active member of the Casper/Glenrock music scene. He teaches 5th-12th grade band and guitar at Glenrock public schools, is an avid free-lance trumpeter in the area, is a member of the Casper Municipal band and also performs regularly with groups such as the Casper Brass. He earned his bachelor of music education from Montana State University-Billings in 1996, and his Masters of Music in Conducting from the American Band College at Southern Oregon University in 2005. He became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2010 and is also a published author. Before moving to Wyoming in 2003, Jeremy taught for 6 years in the public schools of Montana; most recently from 1999-2003 in Miles City, MT. While there, he also served as Principal Trumpet for the Miles Community Orchestra for several years, as well as conductor of that orchestra for one year.
Jeremy’s bands are award-winning groups that have been asked to play for the Governor of Wyoming, and the Wyoming State Senate, and will perform in March 2014 at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Jeremy has been president of the North Platte Music District and member of the WMEA board for three years while teaching in Glenrock. He has also served as chairman of the North Platte District Music Festival and in 2009 he was named Teacher Of The Year by the Glenrock school district. Jeremy Has a beautiful wife of 14 years-Brenda, and an awesome 9-year old son James.
