Written by Robert Schenkkan, this regional premiere introduces Catherine – a professor’s widow living as a hermit in Austin, TX – and Arturo – a Cuban refugee and writer turned gardener. Through an intense afternoon and evening, Arturo and Catherine will embark on a journey through their deepest fears and desires, and ultimately, find themselves on the shore of a new beginning. Robert Schenkkan is a Pulitzer-prize winning, Writer’s Guild Award winning, Tony-nominated, two-time Emmy nominated writer of stage, television, and film. This production will be directed by Guest Artist Kate Gleason.
